Each his Easter

Monday, Easter Monday for the Italians is a day dedicated to trips and picnics

peaceful and relaxing ... with baskets full of good stuff:

in Liguria can not miss the sausage with beans, raw and rustic bread Fresh

all washed down with a good red wine.

For Hungarian Easter .. all hell breaks loose ...

According to an ancient custom of the Hungarian people

dating back to the seventeenth century on Easter Monday all women need to be wet ...

(actually once was a bath in a stream or river

and was an auspicious rite for the fertility of the woman)

In return, the women give eggs finely decorated

(the decoration of eggs become an art,
specimens of rare beauty can be
still admired in museums)

As we turned this nice little ritual

(bathing in the river in Hungary in March ... brrrrrrr)

In a nightmare even worse ... I do not know ..

My day nightmare began early in the morning

with my father who scrupulously followed the traditions

and awakening as I sprayed it with the bottle of soda water,

even though I was still in bed ... After

had breakfast (with eggs, smoked ham with plenty of mayonnaise

accompanied by a giant cup of coffee)

reluctantly wore the clothes of the day of celebration.
On Easter Monday the women do not leave, remain locked in the house
(the risk is coming home soaked in water)
According to popular tradition

only men (males) go, once armed with buckets
now thankfully (or misfortune?) of perfume bottles.
Alone or in groups, accompanied by their children (male)
visit all the relatives and acquaintances women.

Entering the house the children usually
recite poems dedicated to women, flowers
bunnies and then have to pour the perfume or hair

ladies clothes and / or ladies.
In return, the females have eggs

chocolate or chocolate bunnies to children,
cold buffet, wine or grappa (!) Men.
arrive in the evening all the women stink terribly

a mixture of perfume and men are nearly all drunk ...
